In Cincinnati there is a 1021 ft tall self-supported broadcast tower
seen from downtown that is remarkable to view. IIRC, it supports the
Star-64 (WSTR-TV) antenna. It's been a while since I saw it since I
now travel from WI instead of AL to see the in-laws (they live
between Cincy and Dayton). That tower's construction is similar to
the Eifel Tower.
One built like that at 2,000 ft would *really* be awesome!!!! The
cost to build would be even more impressive!!! But, if you have to
have a tower that tall close to a huge downtown, such a
self-supported tower might just be more cost-effective than buying
all the real estate for a guyed tower.

For a typical 10:1 ratio on SS towers, it would be 200' at the base.
That height would make a square tower able to be more stable than a
triangular one, but still that would be less than one acre of land.
