John, Paid for: Yes, along with the Tascam reel-reel recorders, etc. that are still here. Love those BR-20s w/low hours. Great editing machine! Trouble is, I haven't seen a spool of tape for quite awhile! Anyway, the Denons were probably the last of the analog appliance for digital media that we used about, hmm, 10 years ago when everything starting going in/out of a PC using ripping software, FTP downloads, sat capturing, etc. I think they make a great backup machine, however, in conjunction w/ a silence sensor we haven't found a way to make the CD play continuously, i.e. repeat the same CD like the off-the-shelf consumer models. And, in the CR we have a rack-mounted Stanton S550 dual CD playback unit for the emergency "DJ approach" (I think I paid about $150 for that brand new). So, the need here is diminshed. We have some overseas work and facilities in M countries. Since the Denons are 120/240v, we can switch 'em and use them elsewhere but probably as "backup / emergency" there since most of the operations are PC-based as well. Thanks!
